THE FOUNDERS
Max and Phil — the heart and the brains behind Your Showdown — are connected by more than a long-standing friendship. Much more. Both are convinced that playing games together is a real superpower. Why? So their circle of friends wouldn’t drift apart after graduation, they started organizing private gaming events with mini-games.
And it worked. The concept became so popular it turned into an annual tradition. But in the founders' minds, the idea kept growing. “What works so well in our friend group could be just as exciting for companies, sports clubs, or kids’ birthday parties. Really, it’s for everyone,” explains Phil Dieckmann.
In December 2022, everything suddenly moved quickly: the idea was refined, enhanced, and turned into a solid business plan. And just six months later, Your Showdown opened its doors in Munich. Since then, people have been experiencing what Max and Phil always believed: It’s incredible how much playing together brings people closer.
And it worked. The concept became so popular it turned into an annual tradition. Will we break a sweat during the games?
Don’t worry. Even the “athletic” games don’t require much physical effort. You won’t sweat heavily, and there’s no need to bring a change of clothes.
Are the games at Your Showdown suitable for people who aren’t very physically fit?
Yes! Thanks to our wide variety of games and the experience of our Game Masters, the games can be spontaneously adapted to suit the group’s needs.
Is the Showdown also offered in English?
Yes, our Game Masters speak English.
Will our group be by ourselves at Your Showdown, or will we be mixed with others?
You’ll be assigned your own personal Game Master and rotate through the location with them. You’ll be alone in each game room. In the hallways and lounge area, you may come across other groups.
We don’t know the exact number of participants yet – can we still book?
If you’re unsure how many people will be coming, just book for the minimum number. If more people end up joining, we’ll adjust the invoice on-site.
How long does the whole experience last?
For the Game Show event itself, you should plan for a total of 3 hours. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before the Game Show begins. The experience lasts 2.5 hours and includes a winner’s ceremony. If you’d like to extend your stay, you can book our lounge to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere.
Can I buy drinks individually and pay on site?
Yes, you can purchase drinks individually and pay for them on location.
