THE FOUNDERS
Max and Phil — the heart and the brains behind Your Showdown — are connected by more than a long-standing friendship. Much more. Both are convinced that playing games together is a real superpower. Why? So their circle of friends wouldn’t drift apart after graduation, they started organizing private gaming events with mini-games.
And it worked. The concept became so popular it turned into an annual tradition. But in the founders' minds, the idea kept growing. “What works so well in our friend group could be just as exciting for companies, sports clubs, or kids’ birthday parties. Really, it’s for everyone,” explains Phil Dieckmann.
In December 2022, everything suddenly moved quickly: the idea was refined, enhanced, and turned into a solid business plan. And just six months later, Your Showdown opened its doors in Berlin. Since then, people have been experiencing what Max and Phil always believed: It’s incredible how much playing together brings people closer.
And it worked. The concept became so popular it turned into an annual tradition. Do we sweat at the games?
No worries. Even the “sporty” games don’t demand too much from you physically. You don't sweat a lot and you don't need a change of clothes.
Are the games at Your Showdown also suitable for people who are not physically fit?
Yes! Thanks to our wide variety of games and the experience of our Game Masters, the games are also spontaneously adapted to the circumstances in the group.
Will the showdown also be offered in English?
Yes, there is also the option of running the Game Show entirely in English.
In Your Showdown, are we among ourselves in our group or are we mixed up with other people?
You will be assigned your personal Game Master and will rotate through the location with him. You are completely among yourself in the individual rooms. You may encounter other groups in the hallways and lounge.
We don’t know the exact number of people yet – can we still book?
Book for the maximum number first. If the number drops, you can change it free of charge up to 7 days before your Showdown.
Can I purchase drinks individually from you and pay for them on site?
Yes, you can purchase drinks on site. Payment is made easily afterwards via PayPal, invoice or credit card.
How long does the whole thing take?
For the pure Game Show event you should plan a total of 2 hours. To ensure you can start on time, we recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start. You will then immerse yourself in the exciting Game Show for 2 hours, including the award ceremony.
How early should we book our Christmas party?
November and December are our most sought after months. If you want to book a desired date, we recommend booking as early as possible – ideally in late summer/early autumn.
How many people can the Christmas party accommodate?
Up to people celebrate at our venue; We accommodate larger groups with the Showdown Van (up to 1000 people).
Is there a drinks flat rate or a mulled wine bar?
Yes. For the Christmas party we offer our drinks flat rate including a mulled wine bar - the location is decorated for Christmas.
Do we receive a company invoice?
Yes, you will receive a proper invoice with VAT shown on your company name; Convenient payment by invoice.
